If you contract states your job...station of choice and bonus, is that a guarentee that you will get those things because it is in your contract? Can you go through Basic training and AIT only to find out that your "guarentted" staion of choice is no longer available?

Just because it's on your contract, doesn't necessarily mean you will get it all. Unless they've changed, you can choose station of choice OR specific MOS. And if you fail out of your AIT, all bets are off - they will give you a couple of choices, you make one, and that is what you go off to do. I'm really not sure about station of choice works.

If you elect station of choice, then you will get it. But like SGT D says should you fail your AIT and your station of choice is the place for your old MOS and not your new one, all bets are off. You have to realize the military is not a job where you get your preferences, it's all pretty much the luck of the draw.
