Well it's been a rough few months..first waiting for a bravo slot and then not having a job picked...I wanted medical badly, but most of you know medical is VERY tough to get into..so I had to deal with that let down and the concern of my son not being returned to me by his grandma, when I am able to get him,but I must say a little patience and positive thinking and ALOT of help from my recruiter and Top at MEPS...paid off. They fought for 3 hrs to get me into this MOS,which is Petroleum Lab Specialist which sounds very interesting and I can't wait to begin!!! At first I thought I would just be pumping gas when I heard the word Petroleum..lol far from it..so I am intrigued to find out what this can be like to work in a lab. All I can say is don't get discouraged if you don't get medical or what you really want, but just don't take any job..fight for what you want and I have also learned that there are still people out there willing to fight with you. I have my recruiter (SSGT. Pascale) and Top(MSG. Wine) to thank for all this happining and if you get people on the outside world that tell you recruiters will do anything to get you in,that's a crock..My recruiter did so much for me and biggest thing she did for me was: she believed in me and that helped tremendously and it will take me a lifetime to repay her,so believe in and trust your recruiter..they can make it work :)) I leave March 28th for Missouri to start basic..if anyone is going round the same time email me!! Good Luck to those just enlisting!!
