Hello, I hope this message gets posted! Anyway, I am asking, begging, pleading for information about the Army Reserves. If there are any medics out there in the Reserves, please tell me about your training and medic experiences. I would love to learn more from women that are actually in the field instead of some recruiter behind a desk. PLEASE E-mail me or respond to this message! My E-mail address is BigSis992@yahoo.com. Thank you in advance. Sincerely, Stephanie

Well, what exactly do you want to know, you go to Basic training for 8 weeks, then to AIT for 10 weeks. After that you will have your one weekend a month and two weeks a year obligation. Depending on what type of unit you are with and how busy your unit is depends on the rest of your career. I was in the National Guard assigned to an EVAC hospital for 6.5 years, then a medical company, and then an aviation battalion. I was lucky, I was kept busy and I had good doctors and nurses above me to keep up my training. Write back if I can help anymore.
