Active enlistment to Reserve enlistment

I enlisted for active duty but I'm not supposed to leave until 8/15/00 for basic. In the meantime, I have come across a really good job opportunity in my field of study. I am still interested in the Army but would like to be in the reserves instead of active duty. What is the best way to go about changing my enlistment? I know that it's possible to get out of my enlistment entirely since I haven't gone to basic yet. Any suggestions out there?

hi huh? your subject says active to reserve and your message sounds like u want out entirely. Well... if u want to switch to reserve from active just go see your recruiter, it will be a little more paper work, but they are there to give u exactly what u want, kinda like a waiter. if u want out of the army completly u should tell your recruiter now so that you don't get "screwed" over in august. well good luck and have fun. c
