I am a Staff Sergeant in the Ohio Military Reserve; one of my additional assignments is to help organize and instruct at our new training academy. I have lots of questions regarding current Army BCT and standards for women - from the very basic (a day in the life of a female boot) to the specific (how long is training, PFT standards, etc). If anyone can help me out either personally or by pointing me to some resources I would be very grateful. Most of those in the OHMR Training Academy either went through boot YEARS ago or are male - neither of which is of much help. Also, any info on Drill Sergeant School for females would be welcome. Thanks! SSG Nancy "Crash" Nekoranec

SSG--I recently completed BCT at Ft. Jackson in December. I believe Ft. Jackson and Ft. Benning's websites give an overview of what is currently covered in BCT. There's also a link from there to the Army Physical Fitness School website which has the current PT standards for men and women.
