Hi I'm a student at SUNY New Paltz and I am doing my senior project on women in the military during WWII.It is due at the end of this month. As part of this project my professor has asked me to obtain some oral histories.

Question 1: what were you doing before the war?

Question 2: Why did you join up?

Question 3: Was the reality of service different from the propaganda or how you envisioned service to be?

Question 4:Did service alter the path of your life after the war, and if so, how?

Question 5:In what ways do you think your role in the service was similar,and/or different from your male non-combatant couterparts?
