I would really like to know the answer to my previous question that i posted entitled... EXTRAS AT BASIC. i'm leaving pretty soon and would just like to have all my worries taken care of before i get there :O) So, if any one has been to ft. lost in the woods or simply just knows the answer, i would be grateful for your input. Thanks! Darrah

Darrah, do not see a problem with those two "extras" that you mention. Most places make you buy a small bag or some container to keep "personal hygeine" items (ie soaps, shampoo, etc) in so that should be no problem. The Crown Royal bag also no problem as it does not contain any alcohol in it. They may take it away, but you will still get to keep your journal, besides if they take this one you can simply get another one when you reach AIT by buying another bottle of Crown Royal. However I do not think any of these items will get you in trouble as they pose no harm to you nor anyone else.
