Hi Everyone, I just graduated BCT on JULY 27th from FORT JACKSON. All I have to say is that it was a great expercience. I am not saying that it was easy, everyday presented itself with a new challenge. But if you go with an open mind, a willingness to learn and a tolernace of people you should all do just fine. Im a split op so I am going to AIT next summer. If you have any questions on basic feel free to write me.

For what reason did you split your basic and AIT? Are you a reservist or active?

HI,
I am really glad to hear someone say nice things about Basic. I will be going to Fort Jackson within the next month or two and I have been really scared. I am right at my max weight, so they are giving me a little more time to lose more weight. Can you answer a few questions that I have?
****Do they really work us up to their physical standards or do they expect us to know how to do all of the PT when we arrive?
****How often are we allowed to contact our families?
****Are their weight checks in Basic? Not that I'll need it after they start running me....

I split my training for college. I am a Junior at SUNY Cortland and I didn't want to take a lot of time away from school. I am in the National Guard.
