Thought this would be of interest to anyone trying to choose an MOS or Career Field in the Army. The Army has a great website up now if you have real player downloaded on your computers you can watch a pretty accurate (of course they aren't going to delve into the mundane tasks you will do ie mow grass, pick up trash, empty shipping containers etc)description of the jobs they offer. Here is how to get there:

1)type in www.army.mil this should give you links to the US Army Homepage this is where you want to be 2)when there click on the little picture that says Army Careers 3)when this has downloaded you should see the seal for Civil Service Reserves etc click the one that says "go army" the Army seal 4)once that page downloads click on Army tour 5)once that comes up on the left side of the screen you will see "skill training" click on this. This will give you a page that lists Combat Arms, Combat Support, Combat Services Support, and Health Services or Careers can't remember which. Click on any of these and it will give you a list of jobs in that category if you click on a job it gives a brief description of what each one entails and you can even watch a video description of the job using real player again.

It takes a while to get to the site I know but let me tell ya for someone trying to decide on what MOS to choose this is a gold mine of jobs and what each basically does. Hope this helps and if anyone has trouble finding it feel free to email me.

Yeah I've been there, other than the "super cheesy old... old... school music" in the background and my slow 56K connection causing the video to be a bit choppy, the clips and the descriptions were very helpful. The recruiter chat on the site is also useful there is little the recruiters DON'T know in there, honestly. They are very resourceful.

Aha you speak of my domain. I "live" at RecruiterChat during the school year. (I'm in Europe at the moment.) A quicker way to get to the videos, just start with goarmy.com - that's the Army's recruiting mainpage. And if you're a real cheat, just come into RecruiterChat and they'll hand you the link. I'll be back in sometime after 20 Aug, the infamous armybrat. Best of luck everybody, any questions, come on in and join the fun.
