I am considering going into the national guard but have also thought about active duty. My husband just got out of the army 3 months ago. We were in Ft. Benning. I love Benning and miss it a lot. I am just wondering how the other army post compare to it? How many of you have been there? Amy

Benning is typical of a training post. You don't have the troop strength there as opposed to a Division, but a it's more strac than a Headquarters post. It's a little smaller than most posts, but not one of the smallest.
Nothing against Phoenix City, but there are better cities and towns surrounding other posts.
The general make up of the post is pretty typical to that of other posts. Troop strength drives what is available on post as far as activities go. Bottom line is that no two posts are the same. The command climate usually drives whether the post is an enjoyable assignment or not.
