U.S. Coast Guard Academy Third Class Cadet Erin Talbot, a Bolingbrook, Ill., native, poses for a photograph Wednesday, Nov. 17, 2010, at the Coast Guard Academy in New London, Conn. Talbot was recently placed on the Board of Trustees List, the most prestigious honor at the Coast Guard Academy, and is among the top 1 percent in the rankings of the more than 1,000 cadets who attend the academy.
