INSPIRATIONAL MILITARY VETS WITH GREAT FAMILY VALUES
Do you want to get involved in a fun and challenging project for British television? Can you give two British teenagers the chance to have some much-needed structure in their lives?
The British Broadcasting Corporation are looking for parents who have served in the US Military and are living with a disability to take part in the 4th season of its series on parenting. Although we’ve visited role model parents around the world from Sri Lanka to Holland, and even been to America 3 times, we’ve never represented a family in which either parent has a disability. We want to rectify this.
We want to showcase a great, loving, tight knit family who are proud of their values, and who believe in discipline and boundaries to bring out the best in their kids. We want exemplary parents who are proud of their parenting skills and who could genuinely teach our U.K. teenagers valuable lessons that could last a life time.
In each one-hour programme, two British teenagers are sent to live with a family abroad, to experience life in their country under their house rules, for a week.
The British teens are expected to attend school, complete homework and help with household chores, anything that is normal for the family; they are not to be treated as guests in the house but new members of the team.
We are excited to represent people with disabilities on a prime time UK T.V. show who are participating because of their ability (being great parents) rather than their disability. We hope you do too and can’t wait to hear from you.
If you interested in applying or just want more info about the series. Email
rebeccasymons@twentytwenty.tv or call Rebecca on 011 44 207 424 7719 and you will be called straight back. We would really love hear from you as soon as possible.
