Joining the Navy "later in life"...

Hello Ladies,

I am a 30 year old woman who has decided "later in life" to join the Navy. I can try and say it is purely a money decision being that I have been unemployed for 7 months, but I really want to find a place where I can make a name for myself. I have never been athletic, and I do understand I need to get that way. I am purely looking for women who can relate to and give tips toward my goals. I know with the economy the way it is, there are more women like me who are making the decision to join "later in life". I hope this message finds all of you in good health and spirits, and I hope to connect with those who can give me the tips and constructive criticism I need to succeed.

I think its a great idea. I wouldnt view it as "later in life." You are still very young and have no limits as an American Woman. I will warn you that this will not be easy. But do not let that stop you from obtaining the life you want for yourself. Be careful of the males, do not fall for them. They are your peers (once you become a Sailor.) Do not let a man stop you from anything.
