NEW ORLEANS — Cmdr. Michael J. Brandhuber will relieve Cmdr. Frederick Riedlin as the commanding officer of Coast Guard Air Station New Orleans during a change-of-command ceremony in Belle Chasse, Friday.

The change-of-command ceremony is a time-honored naval tradition, which formally restates the continuity and authority of command. It involves the total transfer of responsibility, authority and accountability from one individual to another.
