Master Sgt. Aretha Grubbs, Pacific Command’s administration chief, recites “Phenomenal Woman” by Maya Angelou Aug. 23 during U.S. Marine Corps Forces, Pacific’s Women’s Equality Day observance at the MarForPac Headquarters building, here. Grubbs, a former drill instructor, served as an example of a strong, accomplished enlisted woman for many of the young women in the audience. Aug. 26 is the 90th anniversary of the 19th Amendment, which granted women the right to vote.
